We hear from many of our residents and prospects that they don’t know what to do with all of that stuff when they downsize. Liberty Auction will come to your home and load up the things you know longer need and take them to auction and send you a check from the proceeds. Vaughn Wins Tourney

Jim Vaughn, a Fairways resident since last summer, wins the Quarters Classic golf tournament at the Savannah Quarters Country Club. Jim won his flight and defeated the other flight winners to take the overall title in cooler than normal temperatures winning in a shoot out. Congrats Jim!

2 New closings

The Fairways continues to fight the headwind of the current real estate market with a closing each in October and November. We are starting to see more signs of the market improving and we believe we will have one or two closings before the end of the year. Currently, there are seven families residing at the community with a great deal of new interest the past two months. For the Fairways, we are seeing the beginnings of the headwind changing direction into a tailwind in 2010.

Tax Credit is Extended

Washington has extended the $8,000 tax credit to first time home buyers and also created a new credit of $6,500 for existing home owners who have owned a  home for 5 of the last 8 years.  Purchases need to occur by April 30, 2010 and close by June 30, 2010.

3 New Closings in July

The Fairways had 3 home sales close in July with 2 more expected by the end of August. As the economy has started to recover, baby boomers are leading the way in the real estate market as they begin to downsize their homes and shed their maintenance intensive single family residences.

Fairways at Savannah Quarters Health Fair

To celebrate Spring and help our friends and the community get ready to enjoy the active outdoor lifestyle of the low country, the Fairways is hosting the first annual Spring Health Fair Saturday March 28th 12:00 – 5:00 at The Fairways at Savannah Quarters 101 Kingfisher Circle Pooler, GA. The fair will include fitness demonstrations on the hour from 1:00 – 4:00 on flexibility and core body strength to help with your golf or tennis game or just general fitness. The demonstrations are provided by trainers from RH Fitness and Tanning and Synergistic Bodies, both respected facilities in the greater Savannah area. Additionally, representatives from Memorial Hospital will be available for cholesterol, blood pressure, cancer risk, and stroke risk screenings. We also have representatives from Arbonne International, the American Diabetes Association, and Smart Feet to help with information on sun/skin protection, diabetes, and biomechanical foot issues.
It should be a wonderful afternoon to learn about how to get more out of life by investing just a little time and energy into your fitness. See you then!
